About the Firm

Garvic & Associates and its predecessor, the Law Office of John D. Garvic, have been practicing law in the Bay Area and surrounding areas for more than 30 years. The firm has extensive experience in representing consumers, homeowners, homeowners associations and businesses in both transactional and litigation matters.

John Garvic, the firm’s founder, began his legal career in the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office where he gained substantial jury trial experience, first as a criminal prosecutor and then as the Deputy In Charge of the Consumer Fraud and White Collar Crimes Unit in the Office. Entering private practice in 1977, John Garvic eventually founded the Law Office of John D. Garvic, and more recently Garvic & Associates, which continues to practice in the areas of common interest development (CID) law, real estate and business law.

Garvic & Associates continues to build on its already extensive experience in advising clients in business and real estate transactional matters, as general counsel for numerous CID associations and other business entities, and in representing its clients in related CID, real estate, consumer and business litigation.
